On the screenshot above my little one is just letting me know where she is: walking down the street, at the school, at a playground. It's not her fault that I have a sort of nerd view: when I look at this chat I see nothing but code on Gherkin, which is just a bit broken. A little patch here and there and it will be fine :-)
And I exit home
Then I enter school
And I exit school
Then I gonna swing
We use Gherkin to write our autotests for Vanessa Automation. I can't say I've made very many of them, especially in comparison with some of my colleagues… Well, it seems like I've made them enough to twist the reality a few.
With all the fuss over that Reebok ad, I came across a great video from their competitors on YouTube. I’m barely following the whole thing, but even I caught some of the fallout. It’s already a couple of years old, but it’s about exactly the same thing, and damn! An ad made by someone with their head screwed on straight. I don’t know how else to put it.
I showed it to the little one: she watched wide-eyed. I’ll show it again next time she’s loafing around instead of training :-)
I explain: well, some people believe in a powerful being who lives in the sky and controls absolutely everything. From time to time, people ask this being for things, and that’s called prayer.
My daughter is scratching her leg intently. I tell her: hey, don’t scratch, it’ll hurt. She looks at me very seriously and replies: Dad, it’s my choice whether to scratch or not.
I’m off to Yekaterinburg for a conference on bus terminal software. I told Kat to listen to our daughter and our daughter to listen to Kat. I suspect they’re in for a fun week.
Kat’s handwriting makes experienced doctors choke with envy. Today, if her note is to be believed, she asked me to pick up four screw buckets and twelve telepathic eagles on my way home.
Never mind the screws, but where am I supposed to find eagles? Telepathic ones, at that?
